Krabi Hong Island Day Trip by Speedboat

Horrible experience, we did book a tour for Hong Island and other 2 islands with speedboat at a local travel agent. We were not informed about the name of the operator. We ended up with the Aonang Photo Tour . If you experience the same do not bother to go with them. Firstly, they came 40 min late then crammed us in a big bus with open back like cattle. On the speedboat we also had to stay like sardines as they fitted more than 25 people. Limited time on the islands, we had 2 stops where we had aprox 20 min time to explore , or swim then we were rushed back to the boat. The tour we booked advertised diffrent Island stop than the one we were taken to. Lunch was beyond disgusting Finaly, we arrived at the Hong lagoon, the boat entered the lagoon only half way, if you want photos you need to be quick Hong Island was spectacular, we had 1.5 hours enough to climb to the top for the viewpoint and a quick swim. However, it was very crowded. The boat left us on a dirty , stinking beach when we arrived back, not at the departure point. We had a bit of walk to the cattle bus... Staff was shouting and very rude Overall, the worst experience. I would give them -5 star if I had the option. IT IS A SCAM

Brilliant day, fast safe boat, friendly staff. What I feel puts this above the others is the food, they really did provide a delicious and large lunch. The staff are really helpful, funny and professional. We wasnt sure about doing this trip as it was on our last day but I'm glad that I did, the scenery is brilliant. Visibility in the water is poor at the moment but the guide took us out to a spot where he knew there would be clown fish which he found and took the time to point them out to everyone that wanted to snorkel. Eyes was good fun, she kept everyone informed and also took it upon herself to make sure my daughter was comfortable in the water with a life jacket and ring. Brilliant day thank you.

The Hong Island Speed boat tour with Sea Eagle tour and our guide Sari today (12th Dec 2019) was amazing. Sari and her team showed us the most beautiful beaches, we went to Hong Laguna, enjoyed time at beaches, got a proper lunch at beach and enjoyed snorkeling and kayaking. It was much fun, thanks to Sari and the friendly staff and the scenery is just stunning. I would highly recommend this tour while staying in Krabi. Simon

We had a speed boat tour to Hong Island from Railay beach yesterday. Apart from Hong Island and Hong lagoon all other stops were waste of time and money. The agent charged us 1300 Bath for the tour and 300 Bath for the National park fee total of 1600 Bath for each person which for me was very over priced for this tour. I have been to Philippines and Bali in Asia and their boat tours were much better with good selection of itinerary and offers good value of money. But this tour I did not feel that it offers good value of money as the first three locations Lahding Island, Pakbia Island and a snorkelling spot were absolutely not interesting to me. I think they have very cleverly created this itinerary as its is 30 minutes to Hong Island and then all the other locations are just only 2 to 5 minutes away from each other on the speed boat ( good way of saving the fuel). Also i think the boat was little tiny and congested for 34 people (including 5 people of staff). The food was not so great either. Also in May there was Jellyfish season so we had to be very careful while swimming and had to stay in restricted areas for swimming but still few people got stung. I will definitely not recommend this tour (by the way the company we did tour with was called Sea Eagle Tour) if you really want to visit Hong Island and Hong lagoon i would suggest find and an alternative of private boat tour it will cost you bit cheaper but on the long tail boat which is slower than the speed boat but you will control the time and location choice for your stop.
