Hotel room was beautiful. A great window view towards the Chao Phrya river, although it was too faraway to see anything. 

Room was reasonably clean and staff were polite and friendly.

Good location, although a good 8 mins walk to the roadside seafood at Yaowarat.

A nice hotel that I would definitely go back again

This Grand China Hotel is a very nice place to stay because of its convenience and proximity to the night market (Chinatown) and a few local good restaurants in the same building and rooftop cafes on the 17th and 25th floors. Enjoy evening roof Top view of Chinatown scenery. 

Chinatown (Yaowarat) is a convenient place to stay.

This is my first time stay at this hotel. I stayed here for one night on Friday. The hotel located in a superb location and very convenient to reach to bus, taxi, boat taxi or MRT within less than 10mins walk. My room is on 19th floor very big and comfortable with lovely decorations and spectacular views from room. Staffs are very helpful and have service mind. A lot of parking spaces. Here they have cocktails bar on the 17th floor which I can enjoy variety of cocktails and pizza, I recommend their signature cocktails and smoked salmon pizza. The special one of this hotel is they have a restaurant on 25th floor which can moving around as circle, then you can see top view of Bangkok around from here. I really impressive with temple view, city view and river view. Moreover, if you would like to go to Chinatown and stop by to enjoy street foods at night or go to buy gifts or stuffs at wholesale market on weekends, this hotel is the perfect place to stay.

The best hotel in Chinatown Bangkok with great views and foods

We arrived there on the second week of August 2024. We booked the Balcony Room. The room felt spacious enough for my Fiance and I. We used the Balcony tub once, it was nice, but it drained just as fast as the water was filling in even after trying to plug it in. We had hot water issues in the shower that were resolved the next day by switching rooms.

Location was great as we were able to eat good food around the area, close to a night market, and not too far from the places I wanted to visit.

Service with the front desk was okay. When the engineer came up to the room to try to fix the hot water issue, he was kind enough to take off his shoes, which surprised me (in a good way) only because in the Western side of the world, most hotel employees do not take off their shoes when entering a guest's room.

I was greatly disappointed with the hotel pool. There were many dirty floating things in the water; Bugs and leaves. The worker who was stationed there didn't seem to notice. We stayed in the pool for less than 5 minutes and left. 

I would give this hotel a 7/10.

Solid Hotel

The hotel is standing only two blocks away from the busiest part of China Town, the location could not be better. About 8 min walk from the ferry, and a short tuk tuk ride from the Royal Palace. 
Hotel rooms are spacious and clean, bathrooms could use a little bit upgrade. Restaurant is good too, swimming pool is not too large but well enough to have a good cool down.

Best location in China Town

Enjoy cruising on Chao Phraya River with the Wonderful Pearl. Seating on the rooftop of the luxury cruise and enjoy Thai & International buffet dinner, listen to live music along the way. The cruise will passing various landmarks such as the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Rama VIII bridge, ICONSIAM.

Stay in 4 stars hotel in the middle of Bangkok's Chinatown at Grand China Hotel. You can walk few step to explore street foods along Yaowarat road and valuable goods at Sampheng Market.
